Paradigm Flow Services reports brisk business in US

New technology from leading oil and gas services provider Paradigm Flow Services has secured a series of new contracts in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Aberdeenshire-based company’s Flexi-Coil system is currently operating on a hat trick of projects for a variety of new international operator clients.  Two of the jobs are located in the Gulf of Mexico and the third is in Equatorial Guinea, managed from Houston.

Flexi-Coil is a ground-breaking, field proven solution which can maximise asset productivity by providing a cost-effective method for the remediation of blockages and restrictions to process flow, whilst production is online and with a reach up to 15 miles or 82,000 feet.  Work began following rigorous on-shore, pre-job trials which were completed to the satisfaction of clients and in close co-operation with the Bureau of Safety & Environment Enforcement (BSEE).

A fourth US-based project, also for a new client, has involved the deployment of Paradigm Flow Services’ Pipe-Pulse technology which offers a rapid, effective and non-invasive method of unblocking subsea flowlines.

Commenting on the company’s growing success in the US, Managing Director Rob Bain said: “We are pleased to grow our foothold in the important American market.  We are increasingly called in by forward-thinking and innovative clients for whom conventional methodologies have been unsuccessful and there is a need to address impact on production and maximise asset potential.

“Our US expansion to date has been achieved thanks to a winning combination of key factors such as the employment of two key members of staff in Houston, relocating Flex-Coil and Pipe-Pulse equipment from overseas regions to GOM, and working closely with local suppliers and partners.  This strategy, along with significant investment in having equipment available in-country, is paying dividends and this year looks set to be our busiest so far in the US – collectively, this series of projects is our biggest ever consecutive run of work managed from our Houston base.”
